Nederland, Utrecht, Stadsdeel Leidsche Rijn, 24-10-2013; knooppunt Oudenrijn, ongelijkvloerse kruising van de snelwegen A12 (links - rechts) en A2, klaverblad met fly-overs (eigenlijk klaverturbine). Het oudste verkeersknooppunt van Nederland, de foto is gemaakt in noordoostelijke richting. De waterpartijen van het verkeersplein vormen niet alleen een landschappelijke invulling voor de restruimte, maar dienen ook als bron voor bluswater ingeval calamiteiten.
Oudenrijn, junction of the A12 and A2 motorways, with cloverleaf flyovers (actually clover turbine). The oldest traffic hub in the Netherlands, the picture is taken in a northeasterly direction. The water features not only as a scenic element, but also serve as a source of fire fighting water in case of emergencies.
